Maybe new Skill Point Use?
I have new idea for Skill Points and using them. Many people have hundreds-thousands of this and they cant find use (consumables, skills - I know, but not much to use).
Maybe make chest with keys for skill points (25 or 50 or 75 or 100 SP/each). The chest will drop ONLY tomes (Normal and Elite). For example - 1-5% chance for elite tome , 95-99% for normal tomes. I think this is good way to make next thing useful.
What do you think about this?

/Notsigned It would be a stupid addition there are so many ways to get tomes also it would be just like skill points today except the elite part also skills and consumables are good reasons for skill points or do you not realise how many people use consumables?

I have too many skill points. I'll never use the 310 I have currently. I gain them faster than I can use them.
I'm not too keen on the original suggestion, but there must be another use for skill points. Either making 10 of them worth a free skill, or turning them in gold or something.

skill points are for new skills/consumables/turning em into hero skill points
just no way kid, tome prices will drop so deep they'll be about 100g each then and that's something i'd want to avoid
find a good use for skillpoints pls
and therefore not to turn them into money!

But something like zaishen chest with similiar drop can ruin the economy. Many farmers have few thousands or more SP. If this chest drop only tomes it can be ok.

25 skill points for a key. The key gives me a Tome, or on RARE occassions, and elite Tome.
Currently, to use a tome, the skill has to be unlocked anyway. If I wanted a skill, and had it unlocked already, I'd just go buy it for 1k at any skill trainer. Although you remove the cost, the 25 skill points needed is a waste.

Its just not needed.

Why use 25 skill points to get a tome to learn one skill which could have been learned using 1 skill point?
To save you 500g or to try to sell the tome for profit?
Either way, its silly. Consumes and skills are gold sinks (some of the best in the game in fact) and are neccessary to stabilize the economy.

While I agree there could be a few more uses for skill points this is not one of them. Its just plain stupid.

Personally I still prefer the idea of using Skill Points for Z Keys. Make it a decent amt like 25 or more so it isnt something easily obtained, but still something else to do when you dont have a need for the consumables and have already uax'd that char

There is already the consumable use for them.
But Hero skill points? Ah... that's a different thing. If you bought all skills, you may and up with unused Hero skill points that you will NEVER be able to use at all.
For that, I thinl that, if you have all skills, and only if you have all skills (that is, if no Hero Skill Trainer can teach you anything) they give you normal tomes for your primary or secondary professions instead.

We can already convert skill points into skills. Should there be a new use for skill points? Probably. Should it be this? Absolutely not.

It'd break the already broken economy. Though we DO need more uses.

I know lets turn the unused skill points into un used skilll points<_<>_>

Hero skill trainers also teach you Sunspear skills. If you used all your Hero Skill Points to get regular skills unlocked, you would need a way to get more Hero Skill Points to get the Sunspear skills.

I got all PvE skills already. So it's the opposite case.
All skills they offer learnt, and no use for Hero Skill Points.
You cannot get normal skill points by using Hero Skill Points, only the opposite.
